Horological Workshop for

Antique and Vintage Watches and Clocks

Member of the British Horological Institute

Member of the British Watch And Clockmakers Guild

Welcome to Mytime Watches

My name is Günter Dähndel and on these pages I would like to introduce my specialist workshop for the repair and restoration of antique and vintage wrist watches, chronographs and pocket watches. The workshop is situated in North Yorkshire, England.

I am a professional member of the British Horological Institute and the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild with 30 years of experience. Over the years I have specialised in the repair of complicated horological mechanisms such as repeaters and chronographs. My workshop is equipped with a variety of specialised machinery and tools, many of which I had to make myself. I also manufacture quality watches and clocks for collectors.

Sometimes replacement parts for vintage watches are still available and where this is the case I endeavor to obtain the parts needed, should I not hold them in stock. Often parts for antique watches and clocks are obsolete and will be hand made and finished in my workshop as required.

Please use the buttons on the left to navigate through the content of my website. I hope you find these pages interesting.

The Horological Links section contains links to websites of organisations and people who feel as passionate about Horology as I do. If you want to suggest any sites to be included here, I would like to hear from you.

Please feel free to contact me about any repair or restoration you might have or other horological questions. It is very difficult to give concise repair estimates over the phone, as with antique watches and chronographs every job tends to be different and often faults do not reveal themselves until the item is closely examined in the workshop.

As a fully qualified watchmaker and professional member of the British Horological Institute I will do my best to give you advice or point you in the right direction.
